Sealbook Support

Questions or problems? Email support@sealbooknotes.com. We usually reply within two working days.

Please don't send your passcode, recovery key or the contents of your notes. We never need them, and we can't use them to help: everything in Sealbook is encrypted on your phone.

I forgot my passcode

Tap Forgot passcode? on the lock screen and enter your recovery key (the 24-character code you saved, or tap Scan QR code and scan the QR code on your Emergency Kit). Sealbook then asks you to choose a new passcode.

We can't reset your passcode for you. If you've lost both your passcode and your recovery key, your notes can't be recovered by anyone, including us.

I lost my recovery key

If you can still unlock Sealbook, go to Settings → Recovery → Create new recovery key and save the new one. (If you never saved a recovery key, the row there says Create recovery key.) The old key, and any Emergency Kit made with it, stops working once you confirm the new one.

Moving to a new phone

Face ID or fingerprint stopped working

If you add or remove a face or fingerprint in your phone's settings, Sealbook stops accepting Face ID or fingerprint and asks for your passcode once for safety. Unlock with your passcode; Sealbook then offers to turn Face ID or fingerprint unlock back on. If you skip it, turn Unlock with biometrics on in Settings → Security.

Restoring Sealbook Pro

Sealbook Pro is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. On a new phone signed into the same account, open Settings and tap Restore purchase (it's under the Sealbook Pro card). Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play.

Deleted something by mistake

Right after you delete something, tap Undo in the message at the bottom of the screen (it stays for 5 seconds). After that, deleted notes and checklists stay in Trash for 30 days: go to Settings → Trash, tap the options menu (⋮) on the item and choose Restore.
